Infinity Armchair: A Blend of Comfort and Symbolism

The Infinity Armchair stands out with its unique backrest, a design element that not only adds to the aesthetics but also serves as the core of the chair's symbolism. The backrest, shaped like an inverted figure of eight, changes its form when viewed from different angles, creating a dynamic visual effect. This design element is a nod to the infinity symbol, representing the cyclic nature of life and the balance between the masculine and feminine, as interpreted in Chinese philosophy.

The armchair's design is not just about aesthetics and symbolism. It also prioritizes user comfort and convenience. The seat is a simple cylindrical ottoman, topped with a medium-sized orthopedic pillow that supports the user's lower back. This design ensures a comfortable seating experience, even for extended periods. The armchair's side parts are securely fixed and supported by unique legs-skids, which can be made of metal or thick plastic, depending on the client's preference.

The Infinity Armchair is a testament to the designer's attention to detail and commitment to delivering a high-quality product. The soft surfaces of the chair are covered with velveteen, chosen for its pleasing tactile sensation. The fabric can be customized in various colors, either monochromatic or contrasting shades for the base, pillow, and backrest. The backrest is held together by elastic polymer bands, which not only ensure a long service life but also harmonize with the chair's color palette.

The Infinity Armchair is easy to assemble and disassemble, making it convenient for cleaning or moving. The pouf can be easily removed from the loop, and the bent backrest holds firmly due to the legs-clamps and its specific shape. This simplicity in design makes the Infinity Armchair not just a piece of furniture, but a practical and symbolic addition to any living or office space.

The Infinity Armchair, designed by Natalia Komarova and Nikita Nekhoroshev, was developed in July 2019 and started production in Autumn 2019. The design has been recognized for its excellence and innovation, winning the Golden A' Furniture Design Award in 2020. This award is granted to outstanding and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's wisdom and significantly impact the world with their desirable characteristics.
